I am a professional, qualified Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapist. I hold a First Class BSc (Hons) Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy, from a BACP accredited and nationally respected Psychotherapy Training Institute. I am trained by The Sherwood Institute to their very high standards.
As a member of that Institute I follow their code of ethics and professional standards and those prescribed by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  These codes cover issues of confidentiality, professional conduct and standards.

I have a full DBS certification, professional indemnity and undertake monthly clinical supervision. I also undertake regular CPD activities to enhance my own continuing personal and professional development.

I believe that people are unique and they have many and varied gifts.
My journey in life has enabled me to develop my qualities to care, understand and to have compassion for myself and the other.  One gift that I have always had from a young age was that of  sensing others emotions.  This gift has led me to gaining over twenty years experience of  providing holistic care and support to people of diverse ages, from diverse cultural backgrounds, any faith and none, within a variety of settings.
My first profession was that of a nurse on a high dependency renal unit where I was able to put into practice this gift of empathy. I then developed my gift further during the next stage of my life journey when I spent time as a volunteer chaplaincy member and also in religious life with Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity who work amongst the poorest of the poor.
My life has been one of experiencing many synchronicities, ultimately leading me to become a counsellor. I feel these synchronicities are like messages - an unexpected encounter or an unexpected email or phone call or noticing something meaningful just at the right time and place in my particular circumstances of life when I needed support or guidance or affirmation.
I feel privileged to share this journey with you and believe these synchronicities are present in everyone's life journey enabling people to be open to all sorts of possibilities.
If you are ready to explore your own synchronicity and so grasp a clearer understanding of any difficulties that you may be facing please give Synchronicity Counselling a call.
